2008's Top 100 Albums [60 - 51]
Now that most of the other lists have already been published, let's continue our slow ascent to the top with the next set (a step away from the Top 50).
60. The Raconteurs - Consolers of the LonelyMore classic rock from Jack White and his gang..still prefer the White Stripes classic (although some tunes are really catchy)
59. Gutter Twins - SaturnaliaAnother rock album that I know a lot of people loved but I never got around to love it
58. British Sea Power - Do You Like Rock Music? This was one of BLR's favorite (as far as I know) but I guess he should have made a list of his own if he wanted to see this higher up
57. Goldfrapp - Seventh TreeKeeping away from the dance floors..this actually made it stand out even more
56. Joan as Police Woman - To SurviveLoved her from the first time I saw her opening for Antony and the Johnsons..special voice and full of talent..
55. Spiritualised - Songs in A&EThe 90's legends are back and with a surprisingly good album..well done mates..
54. Emiliana Torrini - Me and ArminiFeaturing one of my favorite tracks of 2008 (Gun)..her unique style makes this one stand out
53. Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan - Sunday at Devil DirtIsobel and Mark serve a second round of folk/pop/blues with lots of love and some dirt
52. Portugal. The Man - Censored ColorsAnother record that lacked in details in order to evolve into something really special...however I'm a big fan of these guys so I couldn't leave them out of my list
51. Silver Jews - Lookout Mountain, Lookout SeaDavid Berman's folk voice signs another good album...makes it look so easy..
